Combination between working and learning

 With employment as its orientation, the college endeavors to strengthen combination between working and learning and establish an educational mechanism of cooperation between production and learning. The college has established a three-phase model of practical teaching on the basis of vocational abilities, including “cognitive practice, training of professional skills and pre-graduation practice”, and has strengthened the cultivation of practical abilities and vocational skills. The college has built 66 in-school training bases, including the Modern Test and Training Center of Nutrition and Food (a Teaching Heights Construction Project of Private Higher-learning Institutions of Shanghai), the Training Center for News Electronic Collection & Auditing and Book Publication (a Teaching Heights Construction Project of Private Higher-learning Institutions of Shanghai), the Training Center of Mechanical-Electric Integration, the Training Room for Hotel Management, the Training Room for Industrial and Commercial Management, and Situational Training Room for Japanese-style Restaurants. In addition, the college has established cooperative relationships and built outside-school training bases with 43 institutions, including Shanghai Electrical Group, Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, Royal William International Co., Ltd., Shanghai Global Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Chunzhitang Biological Goods Co., Ltd. The operative mechanism combining both working and learning has formed in the college.
